Gift Card Campaign
Our club is collecting gift cards (Target, local restaurants, Meijer, etc.) for those in need during this holiday season. Beneficiaries include local veterans and students. Please consider donating a gift card or two by November 28. You can bring them to a weekly meeting or get them to Kathy Haye. We will also use the money collected in the cup on November 21 and 28 to purchase additional cards. Thanks in advance for your generosity and holiday spirit!
If you can't make a meeting to drop off gift cards, consider adding gift card expenses to your monthly dues. Just drop Lorna an email at lornatackwell@jdwandassociates.com and let her know the amount you would like to contribute towards the purchase of gift cards. We will take care of the rest.
Hometown Holiday Events
Light Pole Display
Gary Zenz will lead the team in decorating the light pole in Chelae Rotary Club fashion. Would you like to lend a hand? Let Gary know. The light pole is lovely way top show our support of the Chelsea community.
Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join your fellow Rotarians for the annual ceremony on Friday, December 1 from 5-6:30pm at the Pierce Park Pavilion. Come dressed in Rotary swag! We will follow up the ceremony with a happy hour at a local establishment. Hope to see you there!
Holiday Community Volunteer Opportunity
Chelsea Hospital is bringing back their Breakfast with Santa event for colleagues and their kids and grandkids. This event contributes to the feeling of family at the hospital, and it is a morning filled with joy! The event needs volunteers -- and who's better at community volunteering than Rotarians? -- for crafts, games, and cookie decorating stations as well as elves to pass out goodie bags. Let's show Santa our Rotarian spirit by signing up here.
